-Ezra Penland Actuarial Recruitment has been EXCLUSIVELY RETAINED on this role. Our client seeks a First Deputy Chief Actuary with both FSA and EA credentials in the city of New York.

-Position reports directly to the Chief Actuary; this person will be responsible for taking over the day-to-day operations of the department.

-Exceptional organizational and communications skills are a must.

-Work will including facilitating valuations; producing cost estimates and advisory reports; attending high-level Board meetings; working with external and internal clients, legislative bodies and governmental agencies, as well as auditors; assisting with daily operations; providing technical support; and a variety of special projects.

-Compensation up to $200K. This role is an exciting, high-profile and high-responsibility opportunity to make a difference in the retirement benefits field.

Contract role now available. Residence near Washington, D.C. a plus but not required. Government experience a plus.
